This section contains some information on the various strategies that we have developed while play-testing YARTS. Different strategies will obviously have varying levels of success, depending on which AI player is being used as the opponent and which units are available.

Good strategies will probably make use of the advanced controls.

1. Scissors, paper, stone
Hoverjets are great for picking off artillery, tanks are best against hoverjets, and artillery are best against tanks. Never send tanks against artillery, unless you have a lot of them.

2. Hoverjet ambush
When an exposed artillery unit is moving in, get four or five hoverjets, and send them towards the artillery unit. Before they arrive, hold down 'R' and draw a wide semi-circle around the position where the artillery unit will be. Once the hoverjets get there, press 'G', and the artillery unit will be attacked simultaneously from all directions until it is destroyed.
