30th August 2002 Well, Alternate Universe is still growing, and consuming all my spare time. We have had nearly 800 players since the MUD began!.

10th March 2002 The MUD that I wrote to test my MUDserver has grown considerably over the last month. If MUDs are your cup of tea, please check it out.

28th November 2001 Finally got my BT Openworld ADSL connection working with Linux, thanks to SmoothWall!

16th October 2001 It appears that an old version of my website mysteriously overwrote the up-to-date version a couple of months ago - it's all restored now, apologies for any confusion.

16th August 2001 Here's the results of another simple experiment with Java3D: Earth Mk.I

22nd June 2001 I've been experimenting with Java3D over the last week, and here's my first major result. ModelViewer allows the user to browse around 3D models from 3D studio and AutoCAD. Java3D is required (see the instructions).

18th June 2001 I wrote a version of Boggle (a word game) over the weekend, and uploaded it here. It's fairly addictive, though you need Java.

9th June 2001 I wrote a Java application called "Sonar" today that pings a chosen IP address range to locate hosts. I tried to write a Perl script to do this a while ago, but it kept bringing down my operating system. As long as you keep the threads below 20, it should be ok if you've got Win95/98. Works like a dream on NT/2000 though.

7th June 2001 This site now features a few programs that I have written. Ok, the site's very thin on personal details, but this is the internet, after all.

4th May 2001 New website: This website is gradually being built (it was pants and I've learned a lot since I last altered it, nearly 4 years ago). New pages will be added to the navigation bar as they become available.
